Our organic, British meat comes from a cracking bunch of farmers who (with their animals) enjoy the rolling hills of the West Country. These wonderful farmers see that every animal is cared for to the highest standards there are, from the amount of room they have to explore the world to the organic feed they eat. When animals are slow-grown and well-cared-for, it means you can experience meat of incredible taste and quality.
Anchors aweigh to some stunning sustainable fish and seafood. Ours comes from our first mates and fish lovers, Murray's Fresh Fish, Seafood & Eat It and Inverawe. How they fish has sustainability and the future of our oceans in mind (doing their bit to see that there's plenty more fish in the sea). They select only local fisheries and farms that have the Marine Conservation Society's thumbs up. In fact, everything you see here has the MCS sustainability rating of 1-3.
Our organic animals are truly free ranging, eat an organic diet and are free from routine use of antibiotics or hormones. You'll know what does and doesn't go into your food; organic is better for the planet and our wildlife, working with nature to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture and protecting fresh water and healthy soils. Traditionally slow growing breeds are used, meaning animals develop properly so you get to choose meat of uncompromising taste and quality.
And what about wild game? Our game is from Hampshire Game, who share our principles on sourcing wild meat, that it must be low impact, seasonal and available only when in abundance.
Sustainably sourced fish & seafood
Our sustainable fish & seafood comes from Seafood & Eat It, Inverawe and Murray's Fresh Fish. They only work with local fisheries and farms. Practices like overfishing can have a damaging, long lasting impact on the marine environment. By getting the most ethical, sustainably sourced fish and seafood, you're doing your bit to keep the seas healthy. So that means all our seafood from fisheries and farms rated 1-3 by the Marine Conservation Society (MCS).
