Top up on a delicious, plant-based protein: organic chickpeas. Our handy refill means you’ll always have these healthy legumes to scatter over a salad or crush with organic olive oil into a hearty houmous. Mild and nutty, these chickpeas add a wonderfully creamy texture to dishes.
To cook, soak your chickpeas in cold water for at least eight hours or overnight. Rinse, then cover with water and boil rapidly for 10 minutes before discarding the liquid, adding fresh water and simmering for around an hour until tender. Drain, season and taste: we’d recommend adding a drizzle of olive oil, a good crack of fresh pepper and a sprinkle of sea salt flakes to top things off.
Decant these chickpeas at home into your favourite container, then leave the pot out to be collected inside your boxes. Ready to be cleaned, refilled and reused, time and time again.
