Our sugar cane is grown in Paraguay by a democratic association of small scale farmers. A premium is paid directly to the association - 50% goes to the farmer and 50% is invested in the association who do things like maintaining roads and making sure the communities have access to medical care.

Granulated sugar is the most commonly used form of sugar and is used in many different ways, from sweetening tea and coffee to sprinkling over cereal to sweetening a gorgeous apple crumble. Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, we would recommend storing it in an air-tight container to prevent the sugar from going hard or damp. Not suitable for home freezing.
