Tuck into our Steak and Kidney Pie from Lodge Farm Kitchen, with tender British beef and kidney in a rich, savoury ale gravy, all wrapped in golden all-butter pastry. It's the kind of pie that turns a chilly evening into something to look forward to.
What makes me special?
- Rich and savoury. Slow-cooked beef and kidney sit in a well-seasoned gravy with a splash of pale ale. The ale adds a gentle, malty depth that makes the gravy taste properly homemade. - Buttery pastry. The all-butter pastry bakes up golden, crisp, and flaky. It's made with just flour, butter, water, and salt, for a simple, buttery flavour. - Hearty filling. British beef, ox kidney, mushrooms, and onion make every forkful meaty and satisfying. Serve it with buttery mash and greens for a proper Sunday-style dinner. - Baked in a wooden mould. It comes in a wooden mould that goes straight in the oven, so there's nothing to transfer and nothing extra to wash up. Just keep it away from naked flames. - Simple to cook. Bake it in the middle of the oven until it's golden and bubbling at the edges. Let it stand for two minutes before serving, as the filling will be very hot. - Freezer friendly. Freeze it on the day it arrives and enjoy it within a month. It's handy to have one tucked away for a night when you don't feel like cooking. - Organic British beef. It's made with organic British beef and certified by the Soil Association, so you know exactly what's gone into it.

Producer
At Lodge Farm Kitchen they understand that not even the greatest domestic gods/goddesses among us have the time to rustle up every meal from scratch. So, to help, they've created a range of tasty pies that are both convenient and made from fresh ingredients sourced locally whenever they can – all hand prepared with pride, passion & integrity. They do their bit for the planet too, with massive compost bins and a wormery at their farm for all green and brown waste, all tins, card, glass and plastic recycled, and their own packaging is reused as much as possible (and that which isn't can be composted, with the last little bit recycled). Brilliant all round.
