With the Cook family at the helm for over 40 years, the Severn & Wye Smokery has supplied star-quality seafood, thanks to their focus on traditional smoking techniques. Their experienced team advocate artisanal curing and smoking methods, sharing their expertise by training local college students in their craft. Severn & Wye apply that same care and consideration to the fish themselves, working closely with the Marine Stewardship Council, RSPCA and organic certifiers to source their fish as responsibly as possible. The smokery has also made a number of efforts to match their responsibility with sustainability too – like eliminating their use of fossil fuels, installing solar panels, biomass boilers and wastewater purifiers, planting 350 new, deciduous trees, and utilising waste fish heads and scales. All these efforts help keep their carbon footprint as small as possible.

Storage & prep

Smoked Salmon (400g)
Keep refrigerated below 5C. Once opened, consume within 2 days and use by date on packet.
Ready to eat: Simply remove and separate the slices and leave at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving. Suitable for home freezing. Freeze on day of purchase and consume within 6 months. Defrost thoroughly in the refrigerator before consumption. Consume on the day of defrost.

Keep refrigerated. Store between 0°C to 5°C and use within 3 days of opening and by the use by date.
Ready to eat with no further cooking. Not suitable for home freezing.
