The Lazzarin family have been making fine cheeses for three generations now. Begun by Giovanni Lazzarin, or Nonno Nanni – “the sweetest grandfather ever” – in Giavera del Montello, the heart of the Veneto region, it’s still his recipes and teachings that now guide his grandchildren. Add to that the same passion with which Giovanni made his cheeses all those years ago, and you’ve got formaggio that’s rather special.
