It takes an exceptional terroir to create a sparkling wine as delicate as this organic Raventós I Blanc. But it’s not only the blend of Xarel-lo, Macabeo and Parellada grapes that lends such a fascinating taste and texture to this wine, it’s also the unique positioning of the vineyard, up in Spain’s north-eastern corner. Bordered on three sides by the mountains of the Sierra Litoral, Montserrat and Sierra d’en Compte, the grapes grow in a balanced climate that’s cooled by breezes from the Pyrenees and warmed by the Spanish sun. The result is an elegant bouquet of white peach, jasmine and citrus with a dry, fresh palate that lingers with a long finish of mineral notes.
