Pour a glass of something bold with our Organic Old Brick Factory Syrah. It's a full-bodied Spanish red, deep cherry in colour, with ripe plum and blackcurrant on the palate.
What makes me special?
- Plum and blackcurrant. Ripe plum and blackcurrant lead the way, giving it a juicy, dark-fruited character. It's generous and full of flavour from the first sip.
- Chocolate and spice. On the nose there are notes of dark chocolate and warming spice. They make it feel especially cosy on a cold evening.
- Big and characterful. At 15% ABV, it's a powerful red with plenty of character. Let it breathe for a little while after opening so it can relax and open up.
- Made for hearty food. Pour it alongside slow-cooked beef, lamb shanks or a smoky bean chilli. It's also lovely with a wedge of mature Manchego.
- From Almansa. It's made by Bodegas Piqueras in Almansa, a wine town in Castilla-La Mancha in south-east Spain.
- Organic grapes. It's made from organically grown grapes and certified organic in Spain.
- Suitable for vegans. It's suitable for vegans and vegetarians, so it's an easy bottle to bring to any gathering. Set it on the table and let everyone help themselves.

Bodegas Piqueras have been making wine in Almansa, in south-east Spain, since 1915. It all began with Luis Piqueras, known as 'El Abuelo', selling wine from a tiny cellar in a nearby hamlet. Four generations later, the family are still at the helm, with brothers Juan Pablo and Ángel running the winery today. Their Old Brick Factory Syrah comes from vines over 30 years old, grown on clay and limestone soils.
