These are a rather large, juicy variety of Mandarins called Tangold. Mandarins are slightly larger than clementines, they've a loose, easy to peel skin, so they’re ideal to snack on. Give your veg box a citrus make over- try Mandarin segments with ripe avocado slices, toasted pinenuts, rocket and a honeyed dressing.

Storage & prep
Ready to eat, just peel back that skin. Mandarins can be stored at room temperature in your fruit bowl but to prolong life they should be moved to a cool (but not cold) place. They can be stored in a perforated plastic bag and they are also suitable for home freezing.
