Bring a showstopper to the table with our organic Chicken and Ham Hock Pie from Lodge Farm Kitchen, baked in a classic enamel dish. Tender chicken and shredded ham hock sit in a creamy sauce with caramelised leeks and white wine, all under a crisp, golden all-butter pastry lid.
What makes me special?
- Creamy and savoury. Chicken and ham hock are folded through a smooth, creamy sauce. The ham brings a gentle saltiness that makes the chicken taste even richer.
- Sweet caramelised leeks. Leeks are cooked down until soft and sweet, then stirred through the filling. A splash of white wine adds a fresh lift that keeps each mouthful bright.
- All-butter pastry. A flaky, all-butter pastry lid bakes up crisp and golden, with a star on top. Brush it with a little beaten egg or milk before it goes in the oven for an extra shine.
- Oven to table. There's no need to move it to another dish, as it cooks and serves in its own enamel dish. Bring it straight to the table and let everyone dig in.
- Easy to cook. Give it about an hour in a hot oven, until the pastry is golden and the filling bubbles at the edges. Let it stand for a couple of minutes before you cut in.
- Lovely with winter veg. Serve it with creamy mash and steamed greens, or roasted carrots and parsnips. It's a comforting centrepiece for a festive get-together.

They do their bit for the planet too, with massive compost bins and a wormery at their farm for all green and brown waste, all tins, card, glass and plastic recycled, and their own packaging is reused as much as possible (and that which isn't can be composted, with the last little bit recycled). Brilliant all round.
