Mont’Albano was founded in 1985 in the heart of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, by Mauro Braidot, who was a bit of a pioneer. Going against the trend of the time, he converted his five hectares of vineyard to organic, and five years later it was fully certified, the first of the region to do so. Belief in cultivating the land with respect, working in harmony with nature and safeguarding the natural environment are all at the heart of the Mont'Albano organic philosophy.
