Our cod is sustainably and responsibly sourced by the Celtic Coast Fish Company from both Norwegian and Icelandic seas, where it’s caught by either longline, gill net or demersal otter trawl. Our friends at Celtic Coast work with small-scale fisheries to ensure full traceability and only source from spots where stock is plentiful, selecting fish with a rating of 1-3 on the Marine Conservation Society’s sustainability scale. This fresh cod has a rating of 1-2. Caution: Although every care has been taken to remove bones, some may remain.
