Containing twelve vegan and gluten-free truffles from their award-winning chocolate makers, each outer eggshell is carefully handmade and intricately painted in Kashmir, India, by the sustainable community cooperative, Persian Dowery. The small collective of artisans craft the eggs from papier-mâché, before lining them with velvet and hand-decorating them. This collaboration helps traditional skills to flourish in Kashmir and ensures skilled artists can earn a healthy living from their work. The Booja-Booja team make their mouth-watering chocolate truffles by hand up in Norfolk. They’re all, rather impressively, organic and free from dairy, gluten and soya. And they’ve won over 77 awards since they began in 1999, winning over all those dairy non-organic chocolates. With minimal yet beautiful packaging, they’re the most ethically sound truffles we’ve ever found.
