What makes me special?
- Mild when young, and hot when left to mature on the plant, which leads to their reputation as a bit of a roulette crop. They’re a key addition to tapas spreads
- Organically grown
- As you don’t need them to ripen, they’re an excellent variety for the cooler climate of UK gardens
- Pick when they’re between 1.5 – 3 inches long – any larger and you might get a hot one
- Try roasting until the skins blister and seasoning with chunky salt for a delicious aperitif
- Sow seeds indoors with heat from February. The ideal temperature for the plants is 20°C. Transplant into final position in May
- These seeds are open-pollinated. Meaning you can harvest your own seeds from them at the end of the season to use the following year
