Farmer Martin Soble is our organic summer fruits superstar. He grows some of our blackberries on his farm in Herefordshire. Most people grow them in polytunnels, but not our Martin. He only grows them outside, so they ripen under the sun and grow slowly. It makes for particularly amazing fruit.

We also receive beautiful berries from Harald and Margreeth Oltheten in the Netherlands. Along with their two children, they started their biodynamic farm in Zeeland, the south west of the Netherlands (close enough to see the UK, they say!) in 1992. They were inspired to find a farm after completing a biodynamic training school. They also grow redcurrants, white currants, minikiwi, kiwiberries, Japanese wineberries, fresh figs and red elderflower.

Best stored in the fridge, washed and eaten within a few days. Great eaten alone, with yoghurt or in a last-minute summer pud.
