Bring something special to the Christmas table with our Amaryllis Planter. The bulb's bedded onto moss in a decorative glass pot finished with cones, and it'll send up a tall shoot topped with big, showy flowers.

What makes me special?

- Big, showy blooms. It sends up a tall, sturdy shoot that opens into large, trumpet-shaped flowers.
- Ready to display. It's already bedded onto moss in a glass pot with cones, so it looks the part from the moment it arrives.
- Made for Christmas. It makes a lovely centrepiece for the festive table, or a thoughtful gift for someone who loves flowers.
- Lovely in a vase. You can also cut the flower and enjoy it in a vase, if you'd prefer.
- Light but not hot. It's happiest in a sunny spot indoors, away from radiators and other heat sources.
- Go easy on the water. The pot doesn't have drainage holes, so water very sparingly.
- A little support. The stem may need support as it grows, and a few twigs from the garden work beautifully.
- Keep away from pets and children. Amaryllis contains lycorine, which is toxic to people, dogs, and cats if eaten. It's most concentrated in the bulb, so keep it well out of reach.

Producer

Jo Wright and her team at Organic Blooms work hard to bring organic flowers to your door. Based in Gloucestershire, they run as a social enterprise, providing jobs for those who might struggle in a traditional workplace. Horticultural therapy is at the heart of what they do – gardening and plant-tending being excellent options for those with varying support needs. We work with them to plan upcoming crops, making sure each flower is reliable, interesting and satisfying for their staff to grow. We’re proud to say that, because of our support, they’ve been able to hire more people than ever before.
