The groves thrive in the hot, humid climate and nutrient-rich soil typical of this hilly region that’s mostly rainforest.

There, the Karma Foundation works with the community to help deliver social and economic independence to the people who grow their most important ingredients. To honour their amazing work, the team at Karma Drinks were awarded 'Most Ethical Drinks Brand' at the 2022 Marie Claire Sustainability Awards.

They believe that something as frivolous as a fizzy drink can and should be a force for change in the world, and set up their non-profit The Karma Foundation to keep themselves accountable. 1% of revenue from every can or bottle sold goes to their Cola nut growers and their communities in Sierra Leone, and the foundation makes sure donations fund social and economic independence.
