In 1948, third-generation master soap maker and activist, Emanuel Bronner, founded Dr Bronner’s. Emanuel began selling his soap while campaigning for social unity and welfare, a focus that has permeated the business through to the modern day. Still family-owned and run by Emanuel’s grandson, David, Dr Bronner’s honours its founder’s vision by producing socially and environmentally responsible products of the highest quality. They’ve partnered with small-scale, Fairtrade farmers and crafters all over the world, each certified by Fair for Life. From these expert growers, Dr Bronner’s sources top-quality ingredients, supporting the rural communities behind them in places like Ghana, Sri Lanka and Samoa. All of Dr Bronner’s focus on ethical practices and environmental protection resulted in their certification as a B Corp, highlighting their pursuit of a better world through business.
