Serving four and made with smoked English bacon, mature cheddar cheese and a free-range egg filling in a seeded spelt shortcrust pastry, it’s a quick and easy lunch or dinner that’s perfect hot or cold. Heat at 200°C, 180°C with a fan-assisted oven, or gas mark 6 for 18 minutes, and serve with a fresh, green salad.

Storage & prep

Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C Fan/Gas Mark 6.
