Sweet seasonal British plums go for a spin with a nutty handful of oats, velvety banana and creamy cashews to make this smashing summer smoothie, spiced with a pinch of cinnamon.

Ingredients you'll need
- 400g plums
- 1 banana
- 20g oats
- 35g cashews
- A pinch or two of cinnamon
- 330ml almond drink

- A few ice cubes

Step by step this way

Halve the plums and scoop out the stones. Roughly chop the plums and add them to your blender. Peel and break in the banana.

Tip in the oats and cashews. Add a pinch or 2 of cinnamon. Pour in 330ml almond drink (save the rest for this week’s other smoothies) and add a few ice cubes. Blend till smooth and creamy, pour into cool glasses and serve.
- Tip
A Nice Long Soak
If you have time, soak the cashews in water overnight. Drain, rinse and add to the blender with the rest of the ingredients. Soaking makes the cashews easier to blend, and may make them easier to digest.
