Maple I'm a Believer

A thick, rich smoothie, starring creamy avocado and singing with the sweetness of dates, gentle earthiness of spinach and dark notes of cocoa, blitzed with a blast of refreshing maple water.

Ingredients you'll need
- 1 avocado
- 2 Medjool dates
- 50g baby leaf spinach
- 10g cocoa powder
- 300ml maple water

- A few ice cubes
Step by step this way

Halve the avocado and scoop out the stone. Scoop the avocado flesh out of the skin and pop into your blender. Halve the dates, scoop out the stones and add the dates to the blender with the spinach and most of the cocoa powder.

Pour in 300ml of the maple water and add a few ice cubes. Blitz till smooth. Add a little extra cold water for a thinner texture, if you prefer (see our tip below). Pour into glasses and sprinkle with the remaining cocoa powder to serve.

Bowl in one
This thick, creamy smoothie is the perfect base for a smoothie bowl. Don't add any extra water. Instead, spoon it into 2 bowls then top it with your favourite mix of nuts, seeds, chopped fruit and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
