Carrot & Walnut Smoothie

Let them have cake, we say, and drink it. Blitz together sweet carrots and brown rice milk drink with juicy pears, the toasty taste of walnuts and a pinch of cinnamon for all the flavours of a carrot cake in one delicious drink.

Ingredients you'll need
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 pears
  • 35g walnut halves
  • A pinch or 2 of cinnamon
  • 330ml brown rice milk drink

  • A few ice cubes
Step by step this way

    Trim, scrub and chop the carrots. Quarter the pears and slice out the seeded cores. Roughly chop the pears (no need to peel them unless you want to). Pop the carrots and pears into your blender.

    Tip the walnut halves into the blender. Add a pinch of cinnamon. Pour in 330ml brown rice milk drink (saving the rest for this week’s other smoothies) and add a few ice cubes. Blitz till smooth. Pour into 2 glasses and dust with a little more cinnamon to serve.
