Fresh, leafy lettuce is whizzed with sweet apples, creamy good-mood-food avocado (it’s full of folate) and a zingy hit of vitamin C from lime.

Ingredients you'll need
- 1 avocado
- 1 lime
- 2 apples
- 1 lettuce
- 300ml maple water
From your kitchen
- A cupful of ice.
Step by step this way

Halve the avocado and scoop out the flesh, discarding the stone. Slice the skin from the lime and chop the flesh. Discard the skin. Quarter the apples and slice out the cores. Roughly chop the lettuce. Add everything to your blender, sloshing over a third of the carton of maple water. Throw in some ice. Blitz till silky smooth.

Ripen up
If your avocado is a little firm when it's delivered, pop it into a paper bag with the banana we sent you. It should ripen up in a couple of days. Add the banana to your smoothie for extra creamy sweetness too if you like (this will affect the nutritional information).
