Cool Kale Shake

Start your day by vegging out with this groovy green shake. It features leafy seasonal kale whizzed with refreshing cucumber, crisp apple and a nutty handful of cashews, topped up with a creamy splash of oat drink.

Ingredients you'll need
  • 50g kale
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 apples
  • 35g cashews
  • 330ml oat drink
From your kitchen
  • A few ice cubes
You'll need

  • Measuring jug
Step by step this way

    Peel and break the bananas into your blender. Halve the orange and squeeze in the juice. Tip in the blueberries. Shake in the pumpkin seeds and cacao nibs.

    Pour in 330ml oat drink (save the rest for this week’s other smoothies) and drop in a few ice cubes. Whizz till smooth, pour into a couple of glasses and serve.

  • Tip

    A NICE LONG SOAK
    If you have time, soak the cashews in water overnight. Drain, rinse and add to the blender with the rest of the ingredients. Soaking makes the cashews easier to blend, and may make them easier to digest.
