Apple Cake Smoothie

We like to have our cake and drink it, taking the flavours of a teatime treat – tart apples, sweet carrots and bananas, a spicy pinch of nutmeg – and adding a splash of almond drink to turn them into sippable spin on a seasonal pud.

Ingredients you'll need
  • 2 apples
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 banana
  • 250ml almond drink
  • 1 nutmeg

  • A few ice cubes

Step by step this way

    Quarter the apples, slice out the cores and roughly chop the apples. Tip into your blender. Scrub and roughly chop the carrot. Add to the apple. Peel and break in the banana.

    Give the almond drink a careful shake to make sure it is well mixed. Pour in the almond drink. Add a few ice cubes and blitz for a few mins till smooth and combined. Pour into glasses and grate a little nutmeg over the top to serve.
