Producer

These beans come from Jono Smales on Lyburn Farm in the New Forest. Jono grows all kinds of vegetables from broad beans to sweetcorn in the summer and pumpkins and squash throughout the autumn. He keeps a 220-strong herd of Friesian Holstein dairy cows who help his crops grow by providing the basis of his organic compost!

Ingredients & allergens

Abel & Cole handles celery, celeriac, peanuts and nuts on site. Due to our packing process and re-use of boxes there is a risk of cross-contamination from these, and all other allergens.

While we do everything we can to ensure the information on this page is correct, ingredients, nutritional and dietary information are subject to change. So along with the information on our website, we always recommend that you read each label carefully before enjoying your items

Storage & prep

No need to pod, just snap the tips off and peel off the stringy sides. Give them a quick steam; the time will be dependent on the age of the beans. Runner beans will taste at their best when fresh, so try and use them sooner rather than later. Keep them in your fridge to preserve their crunch for longer.
Don’t forget to wash your fruit and veg before use.

Where the wild things are
We all love butterflies, birds and bees. Choosing organic is better for the environment. Organic farms encourage wildlife and biodiversity (by not using chemical sprays, and by having more hedgerows, fallow land and wildflowers).
