Before the British season kicks off, our cherries come from a cooperative of growers in Spain, brought together by a common philosophy and love of the land. They farm using traditional techniques working to grow fruit and veg with the best flavour.
Abel & Cole handles celery, celeriac and nuts on site. Due to our packing process and re-use of boxes there is a risk of cross-contamination from these, and all other allergens.
Cherries are usually eaten whole so all you need to do is give them a quick rinse, but watch out for the stones. Handle cherries with care. They are easily bruised and will deteriorate quickly when damaged, sliced or peeled. You can slow this process by dipping raw, sliced or peeled cherries into a mixture of lemon juice and water or by mixing them with citrus fruits in a fruit salad. They should always be refrigerated and used very quickly as they do not have a very long shelf life.
