There’s no better guest to your winter soirées than this organic Syrah. The Paul Mas Vinus Syrah has decided to ‘winter’ here in the UK, away from its Mediterranean home. Hailing from limestone and chalk-rich vineyards close to the Mediterranean Sea, the warm temperatures that encase the vineyard mean that grapes have to be harvested overnight to keep them cool and safe from oxidation. Once pressed, the grapes are transferred into a mix of oak barrels and steel tanks before being blended and bottled. This creates layers of dark blue and black fruits and a slight kiss of oak. It’s a Christmas blend that can stand on its own or mingle with a meal or your cheese selection.
