Italian native Trebbiano thrives in Abruzzo (and all over Italy, in fact) and winemakers controlling their yields in the right way produces some brilliant wines. Some examples, including this Trebbiano D’Abruzzo, have achieved DOC status across the country. The grapes are hand-picked and meddled with as little as possible in a temperature controlled winery. The result is a wonderfully textural wine with notes of sweet pineapple and a touch of salt. That’s thanks, in part, to the sea breeze blowing across the vines.

Producer

The Jasci family have been making wine in the region of Abruzzo since the 1960’s. In 1980 their mother found out that the chemicals being used in the vineyard were detrimental to her health. They quickly turned to organic farming and have never looked back. The Jascis are constantly looking for purity, both in the quality of the grapes and in how the wine is made.
