Whilst we wait for the British lettuce season to kick off our lettuces come from Univert in the south of France, a cooperative of organic growers specialising in delicious salad veg.
Abel & Cole handles celery, celeriac, peanuts and nuts on site. Due to our packing process and re-use of boxes there is a risk of cross-contamination from these, and all other allergens.

Prepare your lettuce as closely as possible to the time when it will be eaten. Rinse away any soil from the leaves. You should tear your lettuce rather than cut it, to keep the colour from turning and help prevent moisture loss. Salad leaves should be as fresh and crisp as possible. Keep it, intact, wrapped or covered in the fridge, until it is needed.
