Producer

Just like the greens they grow, Aconbury Sprouts have undergone quite the growth spurt. Founder, Jim Hardy, started growing fresh micro greens back in the late ‘80s, cultivating them in buckets inside a static caravan to sell to local farm shops and wholesalers. Since then, the operation has developed beyond the caravan, gaining organic certification in 1992 and seeing a boom in demand when their first online orders came through. Now, their precious sprouts flourish on a dedicated farm in rural Herefordshire, where specially designed polytunnels allow the crops to grow all year round. With these new measures, Aconbury have won over judges at top food expos, wowing them with the fresh tastes and delicate textures of their incredible crops. Reaching these award-winning heights from such humble beginnings is proof of Aconbury Sprouts’ careful expertise, and just like their vibrant shoots, there’s plenty more to come.

Ingredients & allergens

Abel & Cole handles celery, celeriac, peanuts and nuts on site. Due to our packing process and re-use of boxes there is a risk of cross-contamination from these, and all other allergens.

While we do everything we can to ensure the information on this page is correct, ingredients, nutritional and dietary information are subject to change. So along with the information on our website, we always recommend that you read each label carefully before enjoying your items

Storage & prep

Keep these on your kitchen worktop to pick and add to salads as needed. If you want them to last the whole week, sit them in a tray of water but don't leave them hanging around too long! Don’t forget to wash your fruit and veg before use.
