Watercress, Pear & Ginger Smoothie

Sweet and peppery, this zingy green smoothie is a refreshing way to add some greens to your breakfast. Juicy pears and oranges blended with creamy banana and fiery ginger and watercress. A splash of hazelnut drink brings them all together.

Ingredients

  • 300g pears
  • 1 banana
  • 1 orange
  • A thumb of ginger
  • 50g watercress
  • 500ml hazelnut drink with rice

Method

1. Quarter the pears and slice out the cores. Roughly chop the pears and scoop them into your blender. Peel the banana and break it into your blender.
2. Finely grate the orange zest into your blender. Slice the skin and white pith off the orange, then roughly chop it and add it to the blender. Finely grate in the ginger (no need to peel). Add the watercress sprigs.
3. Pour in 500ml of the hazelnut drink and add a cupful of ice. Blend till smooth. Pour into 2 large glasses and serve.
