Breakfast Chai Smoothie

The perfect, spice-packed smoothie for breakfast on the run.

  • 2 bananas
  • 400ml almond milk
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1cm piece of turmeric
  • 3cm piece of ginger
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 4 black peppercorns
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

1. Peel the bananas and add them to your blender. Pour in the almond milk and coconut oil.
2. Peel the turmeric and ginger. Crush the seeds from the cardamom pods, along with the black peppercorns.
3. Add everything to the blender and blitz till smooth. Drink straight away, and if you have any left over you can freeze it as an ice lolly.
4. Easy Freezy
If you like your smoothies cold, freeze the bananas ahead of making, or add a few ice cubes to the mix.
