Clearspring’s founder, Christopher Dawson, set out in 1972 to learn everything he could about organic farming and plant-based food. This curiosity took him to Japan where, after falling in love with their culture of sustainable food, farming and hospitality, he stayed for the next 18 years. During that time, he dedicated himself to helping farmers and artisans convert to organic, founding Clearspring in 1993 to help those same makers share their creations with the world.

Today, Clearspring remains a family business, concentrating on timeless recipes and traditional methods. They create organic food that’s free from artificial nasties and packed with plant-based goodness. Everything they create showcases how sustainably-crafted, organic food is better for us and our planet.
