Sustainably-sourced by Celtic Coast and traditionally smoked by Alfred Enderby, this is smoked haddock perfection. The artisanal nature of the smoking process has earned this haddock PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status, as well as a prestigious two stars from the Guild of Fine Foods in 2018. The reason? Well they’ve been smoking fish in the same traditional tall, brick chimneys on the Humber Estuary for over a century. Over the years a rich, tannin-like build-up has been created, which infuses beautifully through the fish in a 12-16 hour, overnight process. They say good things come to those who wait, and in the case of this smoked haddock, they’re certainly not wrong. It has an MCS rating of 2. Caution: Although every care has been taken to remove bones, some may remain.

Storage & prep

Smoked haddock is perfect for a kedgeree, and also makes a great addition to pasta dishes. Suitable for grilling, frying, oven baking or BBQ cooking. Must be cooked BEFORE Consumption. It should be refrigerated upon delivery.

Suitable for home freezing. Suitable for freezing on day of purchase. Defrost fully in a refrigerator before use. Do not frefreeze once defrosted
