Fourth generation winemaker Michael Gassier lives out his days at Château de Nages, in Rhône. He fervently crafts in his organic vineyards, with native varieties Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre along with small batches of indigenous white grapes. Micheal is always searching for ways to let the grapes and their terroir do the talking, rather than relying on clever winery techniques. He harvests by hand and allows the wine to ferment with natural domestic yeasts rather than yeasts designed in a laboratory.
