This red is a mix of Garnacha Tintorera and Tempranillo grapes, that are fermented together to create a harmonious blend of ripe strawberry, cherry and raspberry fruit. A small percentage of the blend is briefly in American oak to give a subtle vanilla and coconut note to the wine. As with many Tempranillo wines, this is best matched with slow cooked lamb. Drink within three years. With no fewer than three gold awards in 2017 alone, it’s not likely you’ll keep your hands off it for that long.

Producer

Situated in Extremadura, south west Spain, the winery was founded in 2003 with the intention of being a self-sufficient mixed farm. They produce top-quality organic still and sparkling wines whilst protecting and enhancing the natural environment. They are fully organic, and in two years will be certified Biodynamic. We like their style so much that we even source our delicious, soft stone fruit from them in the Summertime.

Where the wild things are
We all love butterflies, birds and bees. Choosing organic is better for the environment. Organic farms encourage wildlife and biodiversity (by not using chemical sprays, and by having more hedgerows, fallow land and wildflowers).
