Kiwi Refresher

This green and tangy smoothie mixes three green fruit and veg. There are sharp kiwis, refreshing cucumber and soft baby leaf spinach. Turmeric adds an earthy flavour while a banana sweetens everything up naturally. Blitzed together with a coconut drink, it's a mouthwatering way to start the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 2 kiwis
  • 1 cucumber
  • 50g baby leaf spinach
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 500ml coconut drink with rice

Method

1. Peel the banana and break it into your blender. Roughly chop the kiwis and scoop them into the blender – you don't have to peel them, but you can if you prefer to.
2. Roughly chop the cucumber and add that to the blender with 50g baby leaf spinach. Sprinkle in the turmeric. Grind in a little black pepper – this can help you absorb the nutrients from the turmeric.
3. Pour in 500ml coconut drink. Add a cupful of ice and blend until smooth. Pour into 2 large glasses and serve.
