3. How To Make Flower Ice Cubes
In the summer, ice cubes with edible flowers frozen in them make a pretty garnish for your drinks. Flowers such as violas and pansies are perfect for freezing. To make the ice cubes, fill a kettle and boil it. Pour the water into a jug and set aside to cool. When the water has cooled, half fill your ice cube trays with water. Drop 1-2 flowers into each hole. Freeze overnight. The next day, boil and cool some water again. Then use this to top up the ice cube trays. Freeze again till set. This ensures your flowers are frozen in the middle of the ice.
