Citrus Zing Granita Sgroppino

A sgroppino is an Italian dessert cocktail that's usually made with lemon sorbet, vodka and prosecco. This version uses homemade Citrus Zing Granita stirred with a generous measure of ice cold vodka and bubbly prosecco, which makes it refreshingly fizzy.


  • 8 heaped tbsp Citrus Zing Granita
  • 4 tbsp ice cold vodka
  • 200ml chilled prosecco, plus extra to serve
  • Lemon slices, to serve

1. Pop a couple of cocktail glasses or flutes in the freezer to chill for at least 10 mins.
2. Meanwhile, place 8 heaped tbsp of the granita into a bowl and pour in 4 tbsp cold vodka. Whisk together till combined and slightly creamy. A stick blender is perfect for this.
3. Add 100ml prosecco and whisk again to just combine. Add another 100ml prosecco and stir. You should have a frozen, slushy mix.
4. Divide the mix between the two chilled glasses and pour over a little extra prosecco. Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon and serve.
