The Spanish and Portuguese farmers of the Señorio de Montanera are proud, passionate protectors of a special way of life. The free-ranging, acorn-fed life of their pure-breed Iberian pigs is their highest priority and so these dedicated farmers decided to preserve the whole process involved. Everything from the purity of the breed, to their day to day welfare to the ecosystem around them that forms their expansive dehesas (agroforest-grasslands). This defence of organic methods and time-honoured traditions means they can proudly guarantee a meat that’s unlike anything else around.
