- 4 lemons
- A thumb of ginger
- A thumb of turmeric
- A drizzle of honey or maple syrup (optional)
1. Halve the lemons and squeeze the juice into a jug. Finely grate in the ginger and turmeric (no need to peel, unless you prefer to). Stir well, then pour the golden liquid into ice cube trays. You should make about 12 cubes. Slide into the freezer till frozen solid.
2. To use your tea cubes, pop a cube out of the tray and drop it into a mug. Pour over hot water from the kettle and stir. Add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup to sweeten, if you like.
3. Eat Me, Keep Me
The lemon, ginger & turmeric cubes will keep in the freezer for up to 3 months.
