How to Double Pod Broad Beans

Our organic broad beans are a real stalwart of the summer months. You can't beat a good bean shelling session, a great activity with the kids or for a bit of mindfulness after a hard day.

Method

1. Zip your finger along the pods and scoop the broad beans out.
2. Bring a pan of water to the boil. When it’s boiling, add the broad beans and boil for 2 mins.
3. Drain, then rinse under cold water and cool in a bowl of cold water.
4. Squeeze the grey skin of the bean so it pops out into a bowl.
5. Bright green cooked broad beans ready for adding to pastas, stews, braises, dips, salads and more.
