Banana Bread Smoothie

This swoon-worthy smoothie is crammed with creamy bananas, toffee-sweet dates and nutty sesame seeds, spiced with cinnamon and blended with almond milk for a cool energy boost.

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 2 Medjool dates
  • 25g sesame seeds
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • 330ml almond milk
  • A handful of ice cubes

Prep 15 mins + freezing (optional) Tip: For a thicker, creamier smoothie, pop the chopped bananas into a freezerproof bag or tub and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight before blending. Just leave out the ice when making the smoothie.

Method

1. Peel and chop the bananas. Halve the dates and discard the stones. Pop the bananas and dates into your blender.
2. Shake in the sesame seeds and add a pinch of cinnamon. Pour in 330ml almond drink and add a handful of ice cubes.
3. Blend till smooth and creamy. Pour into a couple of glasses and serve, dusted with an extra pinch of cinnamon if you like.
