River Cottage
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall established River Cottage in 2004, after the success of his iconic Channel 4 programme Escape to River Cottage, which detailed his adventures in small-holding and self-sufficiency. In 2006, Hugh and the team moved from Dorset to a larger premises in Devon, where they remain as a fixture on the wider British food scene.

With a successful cookery school, B&B, events space, kitchen and store, the River Cottage team are passionate about promoting food integrity and local, sustainable and seasonal produce. River Cottage are consistently at the forefront of hard-hitting campaigns that tackle critical issues like poor animal welfare, British food literacy and sustainability practices. They’re dedicated to working with organic, artisanal craftspeople to create sustainable, renewable ingredients that uphold their beliefs.
