Our 7-Day Whole Foods Meal Plan
Cutting back on ultra-processed food doesn’t mean sacrificing flavour, comfort or convenience. Created by our Lead Recipe Developer, Jassy Davis, our 7-Day Whole Foods Meal Plan helps you swap out processed shortcuts for whole, organic ingredients that taste richer and fresher – with a full week of delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners designed to make ‘unprocessing’ feel effortless, even in the busiest week. With a mix of prep-ahead breakfasts and ‘cook once, eat twice’ recipes for lunch and dinner, it’s a celebration of what real food can be: vibrant, satisfying, and quicker to make than you’d think!
Simple swaps for a less processed kitchen
Wondering where to start? You don’t need a long shopping list or a trip to a specialist shop! There are lots of simple swaps you can make with everyday staples that help to unprocess your food, one ingredient at a time. From switching artificially sweetened cereals for organic porridge oats, to swapping out a weekly white loaf for fresh sourdough, our unprocessed food swaps for beginners make it easier to switch from processed to unprocessed foods.
Our unprocessed favourites
We’ve pulled together some of our favourite unprocessed foods in one place. Dish up more delicious, balanced meals from scratch with the help of our weekly changing, chef-created Recipe Kits – like our Unprocessed Lunch Prep Kit, which helps you create three veg-packed lunches from one batch cook. Or fill your cupboards with top-quality staples, from organic wholegrains to nourishing bone broths.
Putting real food on your table
We’ve been passionate about serving up delicious whole foods since 1988. That’s why we have thorough policies in place to help us scrutinise ingredients and why we work with like-minded farmers and makers who share our incredibly high standards. Our additives policy specifically says no to the use of several controversial and potentially harmful additives in any products we sell, including aspartame, monosodium glutamate (MSG), and trans fats. We have a GM policy that prohibits any product, ingredient or packaging to come from genetically modified sources. We’ve also published an official statement with our stance on Ultra-Processed Foods (or UPFs). We’re using this to help audit our range, so it remains as unprocessed as possible.
Saying no to unnecessary processes with organic
We’ve championed organic food and farming for over 35 years. Organic fruit and veg is grown as nature intended – following the weather, the seasons, and with zero artificial pesticides (their use is banned on organic farms). Instead of relying on artificial pesticides, our organic farmers use clever, natural methods (think things like crop rotation and encouraging natural predators) to help control pests and diseases. We like to just let nature do what it does best and pack in the nutrients. Wherever possible, we also say no to other unnecessary, artificial processes along the way – like choosing not to add ethylene to artificially ripen our organic pears.
