A magnificent seven breakfasts kids will love

Drop the cornflakes (not literally, that would make a bit of a mess), give the toaster a day off. We’ve gathered our favourite family breakfast recipe ideas that are sure to make the am am-azing.

Breakfast Granola Sundae

Little ones fancy pudding for breakfast? Want to keep it a little bit healthy? This breakfast sundae is inspired by our favourite ice cream treat but swaps in cooling scoops of creamy Greek yogurt layered with crunchy Primrose Kitchen Turmeric & Banana Granola and sweet organic strawberries and bananas. So why not make like a banana split and, um, eat.

Lemon & Thyme Marmalade

A zingy lemon marmalade with a delicate herby twist. Delicious spread on toast for breakfast, used in cocktails or to glaze chicken before roasting.

Banana Milkshake

Have yourself a glut of bananas? This one is a breeze to make. Your freezer is your friend if you fancy a thick and creamy milkshake (or if your mini breakfast guests cannot wait, peel and use straight away).

Carrot Cake Porridge

The acceptable face of cake for breakfast. This is a marvelously veggie version of a breakfast staple (and a teatime favourite).

Blueberry Pancake Stacks

When the weekend rolls around it’s time for a bit of a treat. We (and kids) love blueberries almost as much as Violet Beuregarde loves chewing gum. So pile up a plateful of these fluffy American pancakes for a very special breakfast.

Squidgy Mango, Orange & Sesame Flapjacks

Soft and sticky flapjacks made with a mango and apricot purée baked with oats, fiery crystalised ginger, crunchy seeds and a pinch of spice. These are a perfect portable snack or speedy breakfast when your crew have the great outdoors to explore.

Beetroot & Ginger Muesli Breakfast Muffins

These sweet, fluffy blueberry muffins are a brilliant breakfast treat, topped with a crunchy golden crumble made with Primrose Kitchen's Beetroot & Ginger Muesli.
