Argentina’s Mendoza winemakers are the masters of organic Malbec. Carried over to the New World in the mid-19th century by a handful of disenfranchised French vignerons, it’s sweet summer plums that are offered up here in generous abundance, both on the nose and on the palate. A slight rasp of tannin is present, overlaid with wispy herbal notes and of course that signature smooth finish that is practically inseparable with Malbec made across the Atlantic.
