That’s because Trethowan’s Dairy slowly mature their delicious organic cheddar over the course of 10-12 months. Using traditional methods of cheese-making and a raw, organic milk, they create a cheese that draws on a rich, local heritage. The texture is dense and creamy with a signature taste that’s full flavour and a touch of acidity. A cheese that matures long enough to see its first birthday really is a gift in and of itself.

Trethowan's Dairy really does keep it all in the family. After Todd moved back to Wales from London and began making cheese on his parents' land, his brother Maugan and sister-in-law Kim soon joined him. Since 2014 the three of them have been based in Somerset, where they use top-notch milk from a local organic farm, to ensure their cheese is the best it can be.

Storage & prep
