Blood oranges are the citrus stars of the moment, and we've blitzed them with creamy bananas, sticky-sweet dates and grassy baby leaf spinach to make a smoothie so delicious it's practically poetry in a glass.

1. Finely grate the zest from 1 blood orange into your blender, keeping a pinch of zest back for garnishing. Halve all 3 blood oranges and squeeze in the juice.
2. Peel and break in the bananas. Roughly chop the dried dates and add them to the blender. Tuck in the baby leaf spinach.
3. Pour in 330ml oat drink. Drop in a few ice cubes and whizz till smooth. Pour into two glasses, top with the reserved range zest and serve.
